Thai Lion Air, a Thai lost cost carrier had been planning to operate direct flights to Kathmandu which has become successful and the carrier will be operating direct flights to Kathmandu starting this August 1. The same day, Nepal airline’s new Airbus A330-200 will also be starting its first flight which will be to Dubai.
The Thai carrier recently received operating authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. The carrier will be flying to Don Mueang International Airport which is the second biggest airport in Bangkok. The airlines is given permission to fly seven times a week from and to Nepal. The fare of the round trip is around Eight thousand Baht (Thai currency). The carrier will be using its Boeing 737-800 for its operation.
